Avoid Too Much Eggnog this Holiday Season
December 16, 2009
Every Holiday season, the month of December is packed with Holiday parties, family gatherings, dinners, and good times. Often, these good times are filled with good food, friends, and conversation.
The Holidays are also often filled with lots of alcohol consumption.
As a result, more motorists will be hitting the streets this Holiday season full of Christmas dinner and alcohol. For bikers, this is not a good thing.
So, remember when out riding this Holiday season:
- Make sure you stay extra vigilante while on the road. Keep a safe distance from other drivers, stay alert, and avoid any potentially bad traffic situations. If you see a driver that appears impaired, stay as far away as possible. Traffic fatalities are at their highest during this time of year.
- Do not to drink and ride. Motorcycling is dangerous enough without having impaired reflexes and reaction time.
- Wear a DOT full face helmet during the Holidays. Even if it is not required by law in your state, make an exception during the Holidays. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
The Holidays are meant to be fun and festive. If you are riding this Holiday season, make sure to keep motorcycle safety at the front of your Holiday list.
