Carlos Vieira’s Personal Challenge Update
July 19, 2010

Here is the newest update as we are following our Carlos Vieira’s personal challenge progress – he is travelling from Alaska, through Canada to the Arctic Circle, then all the way down to Tijuana, Mexico, and then home to Lawrence, Massachusetts.

7/15 – Carlos calls from Tok, Alaska to say he is heading towards the Canadian border and is going to attempt to make it to Whitehorse, Canada through rough weather and unpaved road.

7/16 – Carlos made it to Whitehorse last night and is expected to go at least another 500 or so miles today.

7/17 – Carlos has hit severe winter weather again and is going to hunker down in a motel for tonight to dry out and warm up. At this point he is approx 1050 miles to the US Border if he makes a straight shot south. Hopefully he will get better weather in the morning.

‎7/18 – Carlos is in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The weather is getting better as he heads south to the US Border. He has changed his course and is headed to the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI due to the unrest at the Mexican border.
