Driver Charged in Crash That Killed Biker

Jackson County, MO – 45-year-old Curtis Henderson Jr. was charged yesterday with second degree murder in a hit and run accident after killing a biker in a DUI accident on Monday.
According to reports, the victim, 57-year-old Roger Whisenant was riding his motorcycle when Henderson hit him with his pickup truck then left the scene of the accident. Henderson later turned himself in to local authorities and expressed remorse about the accident, admitting to police that he had been drinking and doing drugs prior to the motorcycle crash.
Henderson has also been charged with driving with a revoked license. He has had several previous DUI convictions. Prosecutors with Jackson County are waiting on the results of Henderson’s toxicology report before including additional charges in connection to the motorcycle accident. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
A memorial fund has been set up for Roger Whisennat at the Community America Credit Union under the name “Harley Drivers in Heaven” c/o Sonja Pringle.
