Fat Handlebars Clean up Your Front End
November 27, 2009
The best modifications are often the ones that other people can’t see or notice right away. All they can say is man, that’s one clean bike.
One of the best areas to start customizing your bike is its front end. Removing all the clutter around the instrumentation is a great first step to getting your bike away from its stock look.
That’s the trick with changing your motorcycle handlebars. The change can be so subtle that most people won’t notice the actual change. But your bike will certainly have a much cleaner look.
The thing about fat motorcycle handle bars is they are ¼ to ½ inch thicker than normal handle bars. This extra size make is possible to run some of the wires that are normally on the exterior of the bike through the handlebars.
Modifications on motorcycles are either smaller or larger. As it relates to handlebars, bigger and fatter is the way to go. Coupled with some stainless steel braided lines for your brakes and your bike is on its way to that cool custom look that your cruiser or chopper deserves.
