Haverhill rider killed, passenger injured in motorcycle accident

One rider is dead, and his female passenger is in serious condition in a Boston area hospital after a motorcycle accident that took place last night.

According to the Daily News Online, a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and Toyota Rav4 were involved in an accident shortly before 6p.m. A call was placed to the West Newbury police, who arrived at the scene and found the male motorcyclist dead upon arrival.

A seriously injured woman was initially thought to be a passenger in the SUV but police now believe she was riding on the motorcycle. She had no identification on her at the time of the crash.

At this time, no charges have been filed against the driver of the Rav4 and the investigation in ongoing. Names of the parties involved in the accident have not been released.
