Learn to Ride with MTII in Florida

You’ve decided to buy a motorcycle but there is one major problem — you have never ridden a bike before and have no idea how to get started. Before you go out and buy that new custom motorcycle or sportbike, you’ll need to know the basics of safe motorcycle riding and get a motorcycle endorsement on your driver’s license. Fortunately for those on the east coast of Florida, there is an institute that can give you the skills you need to conquer to the open road quickly and safely.

The Motorcycle Training Institute (MTII) offers classroom and instructor led training for new riders. The 20 hour beginner training consists of classroom sessions to get you acquainted with the basic operations of a motorcycle and skills training on a closed track to get ready for the road. MTII supplies motorcycles and helmets but welcomes anyone to bring their own motorcycle for the skills training portion of the program.

All of the instructors at MTII are experienced riders who have been approved by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Once you pass the written and skills tests you will be exempt from additional testing and will receive a certificate to get your motorcycle endorsement from the Department of Motor Vehicles. You will also be eligible for motorcycle insurance discounts.

MTII offers two great options for experienced riders to hone their skills. Their Experienced Rider Course focuses on advanced topics for the many challenges of Florida traffic. This is a great class for daily bikers or individuals coming back to biking. MTII also offers one-on-one training for riders to get personalized coaching based on their individual needs. Both of these options require students to bring their own motorcycle, protective motorcycle clothing, and proof of insurance.

MTII makes it easy to become part of the motorcycling community. You can register for classes securely online, participate in weekday or weekend classes, and obtain financial aid for those who qualify. MTII makes it fun too.
