Mayor injured in motorcycle accident

The mayor of West Lafayette, Indiana, was injured on Sunday around 6 p.m. in a motorcycle accident. Mayor John Dennis, was riding his motorcycle in Covington, Indiana, when he reportedly collided with an SUV that stopped suddenly.
Dennis was wearing a helmet and protective jacket at the time of the accident but sustained a broken clavicle and other fractures. No one in the SUV reported injuries from the accident.
Mayor Dennis was scheduled to undergo surgery yesterday and is reportedly “in good spirits.”
