Motorcycle accident puzzles Kansas City Police
July 16, 2009

A motorcycle accident in the Kansas City area that claimed the life of a 32-year old man is baffling police who are investigating what transpired prior to the accident. According to a report by Fox 4 in Kansas City, the accident occurred in the neighborhood of Westport late Tuesday night.

Chad McCurdy had recently purchased a motorcycle and made the move to Kansas City from Ottawa.  He was killed while riding his motorcycle on Southwest Trafficway near Westport and police are having difficulty in identifying what caused the accident. No witnesses have come forward and damage to McCurdy’s bike indicates that he may have been struck from behind by a vehicle that fled the accident scene.

Police are calling on anyone in the public who may have witnessed the accident to come forward and provide information that may be helpful in resolving what events may have led to Chad McCurdy’s death.
