Motorcycle Crash in Idaho Kills Biker, Injures Wife

Clearwater County, Idaho – A pickup truck driven by 50-year-old Lonnie Veltri struck a motorcycle being ridden by 72-year-old Gerald Wilkins and 70-year-old Helga Wilkins.
According to reports, Veltri was driving behind the motorcycle around 10 a.m. and attempted to pass the bike, striking it in the process. The motorcycle then tipped over, left the road, and slid down a hill. Gerald and Helga Wilkins were both ejected from the motorcycle. Both were wearing helmets.
Wilkins was found unconscious by emergency crews and was taken along with his wife to Seattle Hospital. Gerald Wilkins died from injuries sustained during the crash. Helga was injured, but information is not being released about her current condition.
