Plan Aims to Make Roads Safer for Motorcyclists
July 10, 2009

Some motorcycle crashes and motorcycle injuries are caused by the over-confidence of riders. A higher proportion of motorcycle accidents, however, are the result of the lack of awareness of other drivers to the presence of motorcyclists on the road and how motorcycles behave.  In addition to promoting safer riding methods for motorcyclists, there is a plan outlined by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program that will not only try to educate riders, but also make sure that road conditions are favorable for motorcyclists as well as ordinary drivers.
