Sparks America Hosts Halloween Biker Bash
August 18, 2009
Sparks America Campground in Sparks, Oklahoma, is hosting a Halloween Biker Bash on October 22 to October 25, 2009. This one is not for the kiddies, folks.
Sparks America likes to bill this event as the “best Halloween party in America.” Who am I to argue over it?
The musical lineup includes the DB Bryant Band, Brown Note, Voyager, and others. Musicians will be on stage each night throughout the event.
There will be bike and trike shows, bike and people games, and $1 Budweiser, Coors, and Miller. It gets noisy with scoot drags and a burn out pit.
A Body Art Contest, featuring body painting not tattoos, kicks the event off on Thursday night, and it is reprised on Friday night. A Tattoo Contest graces the stage on Saturday night.
Chainsaw artist Tracy “Woody” Daniels will be on hand Friday and Saturday night, when his carvings will be auctioned to benefit the Maria Ward Foundation.
Do not forget your costume for the contest on stage later on Saturday night. The classes are Classic–Girls and Guys, Classic–Doubles or Group, Naughty–Girls and Guys, Naughty–Doubles or Group, and Most Unique. The contest offers “real cool prizes and cash.”
Church services are available on Sunday morning, followed by more revelry as the bash nears its end.
Sparks America Campground is located between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The campground also hosts a bike week in June, and two Mudstock events in July and September.
In 2009, Bike Week Oklahoma included “Rumble at the Rally!” with over 10 professional fights.
Mudstock Oklahoma has been featured on the MudTruckTV Web site.
For the Halloween Biker Bash, you must be 21 to enter.
Sparks America is a private campground. It has been featured in biker magazines such as The Ride, Wide Open, Biker, and Outlaw Biker. It offers primitive tent camping as well as RV hookups on 105 acres, gravel roads, ATM services, a free Wi-Fi hotspot, hot and cold showers, a stage, two ponds, a slip-n-slide, shuttle service, two large fire pits, and more.
I barely scratched the surface here. More information is available of the Sparks America Campground Web site.
