Derry Biker Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Atkinson, NH – 47-year-old Richard J. Beaulieu from Derry, NH was killed in a motorcycle accident on Route 111 on Monday when a his bike collided with a Penske rental truck around 12:15 p.m.

According to reports, Beaulieu was riding east on Route 111 when the box truck, driven by 24-year-old Ryan McGonagle pulled out in front of him, causing the bike to hit the back of the truck. Beaulieu was thrown from his bike upon impact and was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with severe head injuries as well as difficulty breathing.

He later died of his injuries at the hospital.

The tragic motorcycle accident is still under investigation and charges may be presented against McGonagle, who is said to be fully cooperating with police.

2 MA Bikers Die in Separate Accidents

Two bikers from Massachusetts died last week in unrelated single-vehicle crashes, according to recently published reports.

21-year-old Lucas Haus, from North Reading, Ma was killed in a motorcycle accident while participating in a motorcycle memorial ride for a close friend who had recently died in a motorcycle crash. Haus was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja on Route 95 in Danvers when he lost control of the bike and ran into a group of trees.  He was pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle crash.

Later that day, 65-year-old Paul E. West had just achieved a life-long dream of riding his bike to the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, and was riding back down Auto Road when he lost control of his 1975 Harley-Davidson, fell off of a 10 ft. embankment and also hit a tree. He too was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to West’s daughter, “He had made it to the top on his bike and he was able to see that, so I guess if there is any slight consolation, at least he had the chance to experience Mount Washington.”

Bob Amen, Former O’Reilly Media IT Chief, Dies in Motorcycle Crash

Petaluma, Ca – 59-year-old Bob Amen, former IT Chief for O’Reilly Media, was killed tragically in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday when his bike collided with a van.

Amen, who was on his way to his mother’s house for dinner, was riding along the winding Point Reyes-Petaluma Road, when a 2003 Ford-350 van driven by Charles A. Belford, drifted into another lane and collided with Amen’s 2008 Ducati around 6:15 p.m.

According to reports, both vehicles erupted into fire upon impact. The van struck a cattle gate and started a small brush fire on the side of the road. Amen was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene of the accident. Belford sustained scrapes to his arms.

No charges have yet been reported against Belford.

Hudon Teen Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Hudson, NH – 18-year-old Christopher Connely was hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle into rocks off Wason Road last week.

According to reports, Connely was riding his 1999 Honda on Wason Road when he lost control of the bike and crashed into several rocks just off the road. Luckily, Connely was wearing a helmet at the time of the motorcycle crash and does not have any life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the motorcycle crash is not yet known, but police think that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Motorcycle Crash in Dennis Kills Biker

Dennis Port, MA – A 42-year-old biker, whose name is not being released by police, died after a motorcycle crash involving another car yesterday on Lower County Road in Dennis Port.

According to reports, 61-year-old James Rice was turning his car into the parking lot of an ice cream shop around 3 p.m. when the vehicle was struck by a Kawasaki motorcycle. The biker fell off the motorcycle upon impact and later died of his injuries.

Iowa man dies on his way to Sturgis

An Iowa man was killed on his way to the Sturgis rally, just days after a well-known Harley dealer, Bruce Rossmeyer, died going to the same event.

James Ingersoll, 36, of Riverside, Iowa, died from injuries he sustained in an accident that took place on Friday in Mount Vernon, South Dakota. Ingersoll was riding on Interstate 90, three miles west of Mount Vernon, when his bike struck a camper he was following. The rider was thrown from his bike and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

He was transported to a hospital where he later died. Mr. Ingersoll was riding with four other bikers at the time, according to the Muscatine Journal.

Motorcycle Crash in New Salem Kills 1, Injures Another

New Salem, Ma – 1 biker was killed and another remains in serious condition after their motorcycle slammed into a back of a Jeep on Saturday.

According to reports, Robert Russell and Lisa Cardillo were riding their Harley-Davidson on Route 202 when they collided with the back of a Jeep that was stopped in traffic.

Russell, who was driving the motorcycle at the time of the crash, was struck by a car and airlifted to UMass Medical Center. Police are not releasing any information about his condition at this time.

Cardillo, who was the passenger on the bike, was ejected and hit by the same car that struck Russell. She was declared dead at the scene of the motorcycle crash by authorities.

21-year-old David Feinberg, who was driving the car, did not sustain any injuries in the motorcycle accident and is not currently facing any charges.

Firefighter Killed in MA Motorcycle Crash

Huntington, Mass – Glen Walz, a 12-year veteran firefighter from Westfield, was killed in motorcycle crash on Saturday in Huntington.

The motorcycle accident took place on County Road near Route 112 around 7:30 p.m. when Walz’s motorcycle collided with a car, according to new reports.

Walz was pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle crash. He is survived by a wife and 2 teenage sons. The Westfield fire department has created a Memorial Fund for the Walz family during this difficult time.

Teen dies in New Hampshire motorcycle crash

Sean Sandmann, 17, died yesterday afternoon from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on a New Hampshire road. Sandmann was riding his 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Reservoir Road in Weare, New Hampshire, when he crossed into oncoming traffic while rounding a corner.

Sandmann hit a 2006 Ford F-150 head-on. The pickup truck was driven by Michael Pelletier, 50, who was not injured in the accident which occurred in the early afternoon accident.

Emergency personnel attempted to perform life-saving measures at the scene and transported Sandmann to Concord Hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

According to an article in the Union Leader, investigators do not believe Sandmann was impaired at the time of the accident.

Natick Biker Dies After Motorcycle Crash

David B. Packard, from Natick, Ma, has died after sustaining fatal injuries from a motorcycle accident on Route 9 in Southborough on July 13th, according to new reports.

The motorcycle crash occurred near White Bagley Road when Packard’s motorcycle hit an SUV that had slowed due to traffic. Packard was then transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where he remained until he died from his injuries last Thursday.

The driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Isabelle Neves, was not injured. No charges will be filed, according to local police.
