Vet Killed in Motorcycle Crash

29-year-old Army veteran Danny Facto of Bridgeport was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident Wednesday night in Cicero, NY.
According to police reports, Facto was traveling eastbound on Taft Road when he lost control of his 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which skidded for about 1/8 mile before stopping.
Danny Facto was wearing a helmet at the time of the motorcycle crash, but the helmet shattered upon impact, causing Facto to suffer major head injuries.
As a solider in the army, Facto was awarded the Purple Heart after a tour in Afghanistan, where he had also received a traumatic brain injury and later Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
Police are still investigating the cause of the motorcycle crash and waiting on autopsy results that may help their investigation.
