Woman charged after killing pedestrian while riding motorcycle

Julie Sussman, 38, of Exeter, Rhode Island, has been charged with “manslaughter with a motor vehicle” after killing a 77-year-old pedestrian last fall, while riding her motorcycle.
The accident occurred on November 15, 2008, in Thompson, Connecticut. Sussman was originally charged with drunk driving. Louisa Solitro of Worcester, Massachusetts, was attempting to cross a highway road on a rainy and foggy day when Sussman struck her. Solitro was later pronounced dead at Hubbard Hospital in Webster, Massachusetts.
Sussman was not injured in the crash. According to news reports after the accident, she became violent and damaged state property while police attempted to investigate the accident.
